WAR DRUMMING

It's not really all that surprising that those in our Government who continue to refuse to do anything other than attempt to legislate how Women can control their own bodies, vote to overturn Health Care Reform on an almost daily basis and give new meaning to the word fail by doing nothing about the crumbling infrastructure should once again be banging the Drums of War. The Republicans seem to feed on fear and destruction and the prospect of getting involved in the chaos that is Syria has some of them foaming at the mouth. I know it's been overused when applied to Politicians in general but Einstein's definition of insanity seems to be given more credence every time a Republican opens their mouths lately. Especially, but by no means only when it comes to War in the Middle-East. If the past twelve years have taught us anything it appears that it was only to make bigger and better ways to kill people. Maybe someday there will be a generation of leaders who engage in more nuanced diplomacy than just blowing things up and asking questions later. Until then we will continue to do the same things over and over again expecting different results.
